The Lake Waconia Event Center is part of the Lake Waconia Regional Park.  The park consists of approximately 100 acres and rests on the southern shore of Lake Waconia.  Along with beach and water activities, the park offers hiking trails, picnic shelters, playground, and a volleyball court.  The park transforms into a winter playground during the snowy winter months.

The historic Lake Waconia Event Center building opened in 1933.  It was first known as the Paradise Nightclub and later became the Waconia Lakeside Ballroom.

There is a maximum occupancy of 1000 guests at the Lake Waconia Event Center.  The facilities include an indoor banquet hall and an uncovered outdoor area.  Among the prominent features in the banquet hall are a wooden dance floor and a stage.

Lancer Catering does the catering for all functions at Lake Waconia Event Center.  Since Lancer Catering has an exclusive contract with the venue, the service is seamless.  As Ben noted in a WeddingWire review “the food was very good, and the prices were great.”
