  • Best Advice I Ever Received:

It’s one thing to make a choice that changes your life, it’s another to follow through with that decision.

  • Hobbies:

I teach ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance to kids ages 4 and up. It’s incredibly fun! When I’m not teaching, planning lessons, or choreographing dances, I love going on hikes while the weather permits and watching old movies when it doesn’t. I also love trying new restaurants, exploring new places, and meeting new people. One day I hope to take up knitting again, so I can make gifts for friends and family...one day.

  • Something No One Would Guess By Looking At Me:

I played rugby in high school and was recruited to play nationally for the state of California (where I grew up)…but I declined the offer because it interfered with ballet class.

  • My Relationship with Music:

As a dance teacher, music naturally inspires me to move. Ever since I was little, I would put on my parents Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, 1950s, and classical music albums to have dance parties with my siblings. I grew up learning how to play the piano and clarinet. Even as I played the music, there’s something in me that made me want to get up and move. There’s just something about music that brings people together and makes them want to move in celebration. It’s one of my favorite things to play a song and let the rhythm and melody guide my steps. Or in this case, guides the heart of the party as we celebrate together.
